WWE Superstar-turned-UFC fighter CM Punk is getting set to make his debut in the Octagon later this year and the "Best in the World" said he will be 100 percent prepared.

Punk spoke with Fox Sports and discussed his detractors as well as saying he will be prepared when his debut comes, likely at the end of the year.

"I will be as prepared as I can be, 100 percent," Punk told the site. "Hypothetically, say I go in there and I get starched in 20 seconds, I'm sure somebody's going to be on Twitter, 'Oh you made a mockery of the sport!' But you know what? F--k you, pal. I'm the one that's in there. A big part of me doesn't understand why people are so worried about it."

Punk walked out of the WWE for myriad reasons in January 2014 and he announced his decision to join the UFC in December.

While a debut and opponent have yet to be determined, Punk has been training hard at Roufusport in Milwaukee for his first fight.

Punk said part of the reason for him deciding to join the MMA company was to live out his dream as many professional wrestlers want to be a part of UFC, but never get to live out their dream.

"I definitely think part of that is what influenced this," he said. "There's a lot of guys in pro wrestling that just kind of have this MMA fantasy and they never act on it. I'm acting on it.I don't want to be one of those guys who sits there and goes, 'I could have done that or I should have done that.' I can, so I'm doing it."

Punk will in fact enter the Octagon, but it remains to be seen when that will be.
