When it comes to having close companions in the NBA, LeBron James wants people to know that he runs in a three-man wolf pack.

Kevin Love Headed To Boston Celtics in Off-Season?

Kevin Love’s recent statements that he and James aren’t “best friends” has caused a fair degree of controversy in Cleveland, leaving many to question whether the former All Star forward will be bolting town in free agency this summer.

However, as far as LeBron is concerned, there’s no controversy at all. James dismissed the idea of he and Love having beef, and said it’s not Love’s fault they’re not best buds -- he has keeps a close-knit friend group to begin with.

“People get so infatuated with the best of friends, things of that nature,” James said, via Cleveland.com. “First of all, I’ve got three very good friends in this league, and that’s Carmelo (Anthony), and that’s C.P. (Chris Paul), and that’s D-Wade. And after that I have a bunch of teammates. I have guys I ride for every day.

“But Kyrie is a guy I understand how important he is to this team, how important he is. And the same with Kev as well.”

It's a fair sentiment from James. As long as the team is showing up to games with professionalism and beating opponents like they have over the past two months, nothing else should matter.
