Today at 1:05 p.m. ET, the Miami Marlins (12-12 spring training) and St. Louis Cardinals (12-10) take the field for some exhibition action live from Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Fla.

The Cardinals' player to watch is leadoff hitter and third baseman Matt Carpenter, who finished first in the league with 95 walks last season and was third in the NL with 99 runs in 2014.

Carpenter hit .272 last season for St. Louis.
