The Detroit Lions probably still think about their playoff loss to the Dallas Cowboys from time to time (or possily often), and while it was no doubt a tough loss to stomach for the players, their season should still be counted as a success after a playoff appearance in a very tough race.

Now, the players are relaxing and taking some time away from the game in order to get their minds right ahead of the grueling offseason workouts they will undergo to prepare for an even better 2015 campaign. Quarterback Matthew Stafford decided to enjoy himself a bit by attending Michigan State's game against Oklahoma in the NCAA Tournament last Friday.

Stafford went with his fiancee, Kelly Hall, and the two cheered on the Spartans, as Stafford apparently decided to root for his hometown team since his alma mater (Georgia) did not make the tournament. Of course, that still was not enough for one beat writer, who wrote an article arguing that Stafford was not passionate enough in his support for his fellow Michiganites and that the Lions QB should have cheered harder, a la Aaron Rodgers when he attended a Wisconsin recently.

Hall read the article, and she was not pleased about it.

Hall and Stafford also attended Michigan State's game against Louisville on Sunday, although there was no word on whether or not his cheering was "satisfactory."
