Tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET, the Los Angeles Kings (37-14-14, 88 points) and Chicago Blackhawks (45-24-6, 96 points) take the ice for the third and final meeting against each other this season live from the United Center in Chicago.

Los Angeles has won three of its last four matches and closes out a five-game road trip while Chicago opens up a two-match homestand and has dropped two of its last three contests.

The Blackhawks are in the third and final automatic playoff spot in the Central Division while the Kings are two points out of the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference, curently held by the Winnipeg Jets (90 points) and one point out of third place in the Pacific Division, which is owned by the Calgary Flames (89).

These teams have traded wins this season with Chicago earning a 4-1 victory on Nov. 29 and Los Angeles responding with a 4-3 triumph on Jan. 28.

The Kings are coming in on the heels of a tough 4-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Saturday.

Anze Kopitar has paced Los Angeles with 60 points off of 16 goals and 44 assists while Jeff Carter leads the Kings with 26 tallies and has added 30 helpers for 56 points.

The Blackhawks enter play on the back of a 4-3 victory over the Jets on Sunday.

With Patrick Kane (clavicle) sidelined, captain Jonathan Toews leads Chicago with 62 points off of 25 goals and 37 assists while Marian Hossa has found the back of the net 21 times for the Blackhawks and has added 34 helpers for 55 points.

In between the pipes, Chicago turns to Corey Crawford and he is 31-17-5 with a 2.31 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage.

Los Angeles counters with Jonathan Quick in the crease and he is 33-20-12 with a 2.28 GAA and a .916 save percentage.
