Michael Sam Says There Are Some "Very Famous" Gay Men in the NFL

Sam, who's currently starring on the twentieth season of ABC's Dancing With The Stars made headlines last week when he said that there are multiple closeted gay NFL players in the league right now. This player, who self-identifies as bisexual, object to Sam's remarks that athletes who don't come out of the closet lack "courage."

"As a bisexual man, I just feel like Michael Sam does not speak for all gay men," this player told TMZ Sports, speaking on a condition of anonymity. "He has his own opinion, but don't say that we don't have the courage to come out. It's totally wrong. Just speak for yourself. No one else.

"It's no one's business what my sexuality is. You should like me for me, not for who I choose to be with," he continued.

This player stated that remaining in the closet wasn't an issue of courage, but rather professional pragmatism.

"I feel the NFL isn't ready for people to be open about it. Or the General Managers for that matter."

He also specified that his sexuality is not a secret amongst his friends and family.
