Brock Lesnar will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns in the main event and his manager Paul Heyman told IGN "The Beast" deserves this moment.
Countdown to WrestleMania 31: 3 Best Moments From WrestleMania XXX (30)
"Well, this is really Bock Lesnar's rightful place," Heyman told the site. "He is a once in a lifetime athlete and a once in a lifetime performer and a once in a lifetime attraction in this industry. This is clearly his time. There is no one like Brock Lesnar, not in WWE or UFC or Mixed Martial Arts, so you like to walk into a situation saying "I'm so blessed. I'm so fortunate. What an honor it is to be..." To be blunt with you, I don't think there's any other place for Brock Lesnar to be but on top."
According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there is a feeling Lesnar may retain the belt due to his big contract announcement coming on ESPN's SportsCenter this week.
Another high-profile match will see John Cena battle Rusev for the United States Championship, and the "Cenation" leader spoke to The National.ae about what winning the belt would mean to him.
"I think it is a beacon of achievement, I really do," he said. "Right now we are a bit of a fickle situation with a WWE Heavyweight champion [Brock Lesnar]. When he shows he does some damage, believe me. I think I spoke German after Summerslam he suplexed me so many times, but I want to be able to have a viable, competitive championship that is available at every live event, at every television screening, at every special event, and at every pay-per-view. And on top of that those who have watched WWE, I am almost overly patriotic. That is not a work, that is who I am. It gives me great pride, not just from a nostalgia factor to win the championship that I won at WrestleMania 20 but to be the bearer of the championship that essentially defines the United States."
Another big match will see Bray Wyatt face The Undertaker, and the "Eater of Worlds" talked about always wanting to face the "Deadman" on the grandest stage to USA Today.
"It was an addiction for me from early on, but everything was always leading up to this moment. This is the moment that I take on The Undertaker, and that was the plan from Day One."
Another big event on the show will be the seven-man Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match and Daniel Bryan spoke with TheNational.ae to talk about health concerns entering the match.
"It is interesting as this entire process of me coming back has been a testing of my neck," Bryan said. "So OK, I am going to do this, now I am going to do a little more, and push a little more. I think the WWE is concerned about how far I am going to push it. Even Shawn Michaels spoke to me yesterday and said: "You know, this ladder match, you know there are more important things than that". But I worry about that like any time I step in the ring now as far as, how is it going to hold up? It is not really worrying, it is testing it. I have taken German suplexes on my head now since I came back and you know what? It hurt like a normal German suplex getting knocked on your head. It did not hurt any worse than that, so I am pretty confident for Sunday."
Another participant in the match, Dean Ambrose, also spoke to TheNational.ae and discussed going after the Intercontinental Championship.
"To be in an Intercontinental title match at WrestleMania that is the stuff dreams are made of," he said. "And for it to be a ladder match, on this big a stage, with so much adrenaline going on, for me it could not be a better situation."
