The theatrical drama of the VH1 reality series Basketball Wives: LA has spilled off our television screens and into the real world.

TMZ Sports reports that this week one of the show's stars, Sundy Carter, has filed a police report against her co-stars, Draya Michele and Malaysia Pargo. The suit alleges that the duo violently assault her, rendering permanent damage to one of her eyes.

The incident in question isn't just a matter of she-said, they-said. Cameras actually caught the fight in action on the program, back in July 2013 during Basketball Wives: LA's third season. If you recall (and who doesn't?!) Draya called Sundy "ratchet," and it was on from there.

However, TMZ also states that there may be a hitch to Carter's legal attack, as the statue of limitations for assault is only 1-year in the state of California.

However, Carter has an argument that might allow her to circumvent that issue. Although the assault occurred two years ago, Carter says she only learned off its damaging effects on her eye socket six months ago.

Should the court system not accept her criminal suit, Carter can fall back on filing a civil lawsuit against Pargo and Michele instead. The statue of limitations there has yet to expire for her.

Sundy plans to comment on this issue on "Icons with Ken Collins," on April 1st.
