Dwight Howard Free Agency Update: D12 Meets With Lakers, Rockets, Mavericks, Hawks, Warriors, Leaves Los Angeles To Weigh Options; Decision Coming July 10?

Superman has left the building; the burning question for the Los Angeles Lakers is will he be returning.

After huddling with a contingent of L.A. team officials that included owners the Buss family, GM Mitch Kupchak and star players Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash, the free agent All-Star center sped away for parts unknown in a white Ferrari to contemplate his future.

According to ESPN, Howard immediately left town “for a few days” to “weigh everything out.” He has previously stated he plans to make his choice known by July 10.

“I had a lot of great meetings," Howard told ESPN. His would-be teammates were a lot more expressive.

“I thought it was a very productive meeting," said Nash. "We talked about last year and how it can be built on. I think a lot of the excitement of last year has yet to be finished. If we get him back, regroup, retool and make it happen."

Another team source told ESPN: “The bottom line is, will he take the chance to play for the biggest team, biggest fan base and winningest franchise? To me, that's the biggest theme. The Lakers have the track record."

A representative from Time Warner Cable also sat in on the meeting, as the cable giant has offered Howard the chance to have his own reality show if he decides to remain in L.A.
