Bill Belichick is always entertaining when he talks to the media, but unlike other good interviews, Belichick entertains because of what he refuses to say. He answers every question with few words, reveals no insights, and often repeats himself ad nauseum whenever he is forced to deal with the media.
Broncos Planning To Bench Peyton Manning?
Behind closed doors, Belichick is allegedly a very different person - a fiery individual who is not afraid to say exactly what he thinks about his players or team, and one who has no qualms about using whatever type of language he deems necessary to make his point. According to Adam Schefter, Belichick may have delivered a profane rant to a room full of people that included Dean Blandino, the head of the NFL's officials.
"They were in a meeting the other day with Dean Blandino, the head of the officials, and Bill Belichick got up there, and in profane language, told the NFL: 'We spend money to send the Pro Bowl to Brazil, we spend money to go overseas to London, but we can't spend money to have four cameras in the end zone, four cameras to help determine the correct call in the end zone on certain plays?'
"'He went off, and the way it was explained to me, from people in the room at the time, they were laughing at it because his language was so profane and because he was so incensed about it, and the NFL didn't know how to handle it. But the bottom line is, they did not introduce the four cameras in the end zone, they thought right now it's too cost-prohibitive for the NFL even, and they don't know how to do it. They'll probably continue to look at this, but Bill Belichick left these owners' meetings not particularly happy," Schefter said on Keith Olbermann's show.
Tony Romo To Hear It From Fans At National Fantasy Football Convention?
Other sources indicate that the rant did not happen.
Three different sources who were in the room says there was no profane tirade from Bill Belichick at the league meetings.

So it really may come down to which sources people trust the most. Schefter rarely misses the mark with his reporting, but apparently multiple sources contradict his information.
Fans may never know the truth, but it will still likely go down as another anecdote in Bill Belichick's legendary career.
