Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller is locked in a three-way competition with JT Barrett and Cardale Jones for the Buckeyes' starting job, but an ill-advised Instagram post might take him out of running early.

On Tuesday night, Miller uploaded a photo of himself alongside multiple Advocare products (health and nutritional substances). Local fitness maven Brandon Oshodin could also be seen in the picture.

To add to the faux pas, Miller included his own personal e-mail address as a method of correspondence. A quick online search also reveals Miller as a promoter and distributor for the company.

The Instagram photo raises questions whether Braxton Miller violated an NCAA bylaw. Whether it's an outdated and exploitative construct or not (it is), current athletes are prohibited from using their profiles to endorse or profit off of companies.

According to College Spun, Advocare even mentions social media promotion as a strict no-no for student-athletes. Miller deleting the photo also doesn't help, as it lends a perception of guilt to the whole proceedings.

The rest of Braxton Miller's Instagram profile is right here. There's a lot of good stuff that doesn't enter the realm of NCAA gaffes.
