Fantasy sports is one of the biggest growing industries in the country, and new players and ways to play are added each season. Of the many fantasy sports available, football has become the most popular.

Each week during the season, matchups are won and lost (and it seems like far more often they are lost) based on the performance, or lack thereof, of well-known NFL stars. Now, for the first time ever, fantasy players will have a chance to interact with some of the players that carry or let down their teams each week, and fantasy football lightning rod Tony Romo will be among the headliners, according to CBS DFW.

The event is the first ever "National Fantasy Football Convention," and it is being called "a hands-on experience for football fans that will include celebrity parties, skills competitions, and most of all, fantasy-football guidance and interaction with more than 100 NFL players."

"Fans have never been closer to the game, and a lot of my buddies already see themselves as an owner or GM,'' Romo said while promoting the event, which will be in Las Vegas this July. "And now fans finally have the chance to interact with all their favorite players and experts."

Other notable names that will be in attendance include Rob Gronkowski, DeMarco Murray, Eddie Lacy and Reggie Cobb, Antonio Brown, and Julio Jones.

It will be interesting to see how many fans are simply excited for the experience and how many are hoping to be able to inform an NFL star that one of their bad games ruined the fantasy owner's season. If that ends up being the case, Romo could be in for a rough weekend, as fantasy owners love to criticize his play, and they also hold grudges for a long time.
