Adrian Peterson and his agent are turning up the heat on the Minnesota Vikings in an effort to be out of town. Peterson didn't feel the organization had his back during his legal static regarding child abuse charges, and is doing all he can to change the team's stance on not trading him.

The situation will soon be untenable, as his agent has publicly stated the Vikings are no longer a fit for his client. If he did get traded, these would be the five best spots for him to land. Keep in mind salary cap situations aren't necessarily being taken into account here.

Dallas Cowboys

As stated above, SWN is aware that Dallas isn't exactly flush with cash.

However, think about the damage Peterson could do behind an offensive line that made DeMarco Murray the NFL's leading rusher last season by a wide margin. Peterson won the 2012 MVP on the strength of a 2,097-yard, 12-touchdown campaign that came after he tore his ACL late in the previous season and was the sole big-play threat on a quarterback-starved team. Putting him on a squad with Pro Bowler Tony Romo taking snaps and throwing to Pro Bowlers Dez Bryant and Jason Witten is frightening.

Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta's defense should be improved in 2015, but that doesn't mean they won't rely on the offense this season. The passing game has been the Falcons' calling card for a while, but with Roddy White not getting any younger, an injection of stardom to a productive passing corps would make this a Top 5 offense potentially. Atlanta does have $20 million of cap space for AP according to Overthecap.com, and they've been employing another physical back, Steven Jackson, for the last

New York Jets

The Jets have had a busy offseason, beefing up the secondary and bringing in Brandon Marshall via trade to take the pressure off last year's big free agent acquisition Eric Decker. They brought in Ryan Fitzpatrick to compete for the QB job as well, but in the grand scheme of things he isn't exactly a ticket to the Super Bowl.

The Jets can use as many playmakers as possible, and last year the running game wasn't bad at all. Their numbers suffered from poor production in the second level, which speaks more to Chris Johnson's failings than the work of their offensive line. Peterson would greatly improve this offense, and take even more pressure off whoever is throwing the passes.

Denver Broncos

The Broncos are in win-now mode, despite their inaction on the free agent market, and showed an increased reliance on the running game down the stretch in 2014. That was most likely because Peyton Manning was nursing an injured leg, but as his arm strength has diminished the ability to pound the rock has become more important.

Who better for Manning to rely on than "All-Day" Adrian Peterson? They do have some cap room now that several free agents have left the nest, so this is a situation that may not be so wild.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars have a ton of money to spend this offseason and already netted a big-time playmaker in tight end Julius Thomas. Rookie QB Blake Bortles is far too young to give up on, but Year 1 was a definite struggle for him, and the Jags don't look like they'll be contending for the Super Bowl this year either. Adding AP as the rock of the offense would be a game-changer though, especially with Jacksonville's stable of under-the-radar receivers. It's unlikely Peterson wants to play in Jacksonville, but perhaps they make an offer he can't refuse.
