Johnny Manziel's two-month hiatus from football seems to be nearing a close.

The 25-year-old quarterback took a break from the Cleveland Browns in order to check himself into rehab. Manziel entered treatment in order to curb his drinking and partying in an effort to focus more fully on football.

However, Manziel should be leaving rehab soon. According to Browns GM Ray Farmar, the franchise expects Johnny Football to attend team workout programs that begin on April 20 next month.

"I don't think it's in doubt," Farmer said, via ESPN.com.

The GM also said that Manziel will have a shot at the starting job in 2015, should he not regress on his progress.

"If he is prepared and he demonstrates the things that he needs to demonstrate, then yeah he should get every opportunity to be the guy," Farmer said.

Manziel originally enterted treatment in late January, saying in a statement that he wanted to "be a better family member, friend and teammate."

Thus far Manziel has had the support of the Browns staff and his teammates. Cleveland head coach Mike Pettine even took time to visit Manziel in person.
