A 25-year old woman is in police custody after being charged in connection with a string of high-end robberies, including the March theft of nearly $500,000 in jewelry from New York Giants player Shaun Rogers.
According to ESPN, Subhanna Beyah was arrested in Queens over the weekend on fugitive from justice charges after Miami Beach police sought their assistance in locating her.
Police say she was wanted for several lucrative heists were jewelry and cash were stolen. Rogers, 34, told police he met the woman at a Miami club back in March and later that night she and two other men all returned to the Fountainbleau Hotel he was staying at in Miami Beach.
ESPN reports that Rogers told authorities when awoke that morning he found his friends still in the room, but the woman gone and his $440,000 in jewelry was missing from a room safe.
Among the items claimed missing are $100,000 diamond earrings, a $100,000 watch, a $60,000 watch, a $50,000 gold necklace, a $70,000 diamond Cuban necklace and three gold bracelets worth $60,000.
Beyah was arraigned early Sunday in Queens on the fugitive warrant. She was in custody and not immediately available for comment.
Rogers did not play in 2012, spending the season on injured reserve.
