Davis and the rest of her Philadelphia teammates on the Taney Dragons captivated the nation during their run through the 2015 Little League World Series. Davis in particular became a hero to millions of young baseball fans as she struck out boy hitters with effortless ease.

Davis' star has been on the rise since the LLWS. She broke comedian Kevin Hart's ankles in the NBA's Celebrity All Star Game last month. She published a book, "Remember My Name," and she even has launched her own line of sneakers and apparel, with the proceeds going to charity.

Now word comes that Davis will have a Disney Channel original movie made about her. Entitled "Throw Like Mo," the project is still in development but seems primed to further her star power. Disney also said that Davis will be on staff as a consultant for the film's production.

“There are so many great things happening to me right now and it’s a very exciting time in my life,” Davis said in a statement, via USA Today's For The Win. “A year ago, I never would have thought that Disney Channel would make a movie about me. I can’t wait to get started and I hope it will encourage other viewers to believe that dreams really do come true.”
