The WWE is filled with legitimate tough guys inside the squared circle, but there are a lot of them that could be just as nasty outside of it if a real-life altercation unfolded.
Countdown to WWE WrestleMania 31: 3 Best Moments From WrestleMania 21
Throughout the years, many of the baddest dudes have left their mark on the wrestling ring and etched their footprints in sports entertainment lore.
Sports World News will look into five past and present Superstars you wouldn't want to mess with in real life.
WrestleMania 31 Early Betting Odds Revealed
5) Daniel Bryan: The former WWE Champion may look harmless, but what he misses in size and stature he more than makes up for in agility and athleticism. Bryan has a background in martial arts and has had at least one instance where he had to use it outside of the ring. "The Beard" caught one of two burglars that broke into his Arizona home last summer and subdued him with a rear naked choke until police could arrive.
4) Steve Blackman: "The Lethal Weapon" wasn't the most charismatic Superstar to ever grace a WWE ring, but he did know how to fight. Blackman, a six-time Hardcore Champion, spent time in the WWE from 1997-2002 and is a well-known mixed martial artist. Blackman was notorious for using his feet and kendo sticks adequately, and he would be a tough guy to take down should a situation ever develop outside of the squared circle.
3) Kurt Angle: If you don't think the decorated WWE and TNA wrestler is tough, look no further than the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta when he won a gold medal with a broken neck. Angle is one of the most decorated amateur wrestlers of all time and used that skill to thrive in professional wrestling. He is a legitimate tough guy and could use many different moves to take down an adversary in the ring or outside of it.
2) Ken Shamrock: You don't get the moniker of "The World's Most Dangerous Man" for nothing and the former WWE Intercontinental Champion and UFC Heavyweight Champion is a force to be reckoned with. Shamrock is a UFC Hall of Famer and widely considered to be one of the best mixed martial arts fighters in the world.
1) Brock Lesnar: The reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion lives up to his moniker "The Beast." Lesnar is a dominant force inside and outside the ring and he is so talented that he is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion and a multi-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Lesnar is so rough in the ring that he legitimately injured The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX in 2014 and nearly ended his career. Lesnar is a bad ass that people would not want to mess with outside of the ring or the cage.
The WWE has produced many tough guys over the years, but these five men would be scary to go face-to-face with in a real-life situation.
