The blockbuster trade between the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics is officially complete, as Kevin Garnett has agreed to waive his no-trade clause. Brooklyn will acquire Garnett, as well as Paul Pierce and Jason Terry in exchange for Keith Bogans, Kris Joseph, Kris Humphries, Marshon Brooks, Gerald Wallace and first-round picks in 2014, 2016 and 2018.

Sources told ESPN that Garnett's decision to accept the trade was the final piece to the puzzle. The NBA is currently under a waiting period on free-agent signings and trades until July 10.

Brooklyn was originally considering sending Tornike Shengelia and Reggie Evans, but decided to package Joseph and Brooks instead. The Nets add three of the Celtics key contributors to a team that already includes Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez.

The Celtics were originally skeptical of taking on Gerald Wallace's $30 million salary until the Nets agreed to take Jason Terry's contract. Due to Pierce's $17 million salary for 2013-14, the Nets will have to wait until after the July 10 waiting period to pick up his $15.3 million team option used by the Celtics in the trade.

In 2014, the Celtics will receive the rights to either Brooklyn or Atlanta's draft pick, depending on whichever team has a poorer record. In 2017, Boston has the right to swap picks with the Nets, depending on their records.

Nets general manager Billy King laughed off questions of the trade, adding that he wouldn't comment on the trade.

"Guys, honestly, I can't go any further than this. Honestly, you can ask all the questions. Honestly, I can't. At the time that it's appropriate, I will address it if possible, but at this time, I can't," King said.
