The Undertaker and Sting will both be involved in matches at WrestleMania 31, but after years of speculation they will not be staring across the ring from each other when the event emanates from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. on Mar. 29.
Countdown to WrestleMania 31: 3 Best Moments From WrestleMania 20
The "Deadman" is set to go one-on-one with Bray Wyatt as the old Face of Fear meets the new man that haunts the WWE at the company's flagship show.
One thing that is notably missing is that The Undertaker's legendary WrestleMania streak won't be defended for the first time ever at the "Show of Shows" as he fell to current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar last year at WrestleMania XXX to fall to 21-1.

Sting, meanwhile, will make his long-awaited WWE in-ring debut as the former WCW and TNA icon will go toe-to-toe with Triple H at the WWE's marquee event.
It has taken years for "The Vigilante" to finally come to the WWE, but after rumors t emerged that he would face The Undertaker when the day for him to set foot in the ring would come, he will instead face "The Game."
This is fine as both of those matches should be fun and entertaining when the night comes, but the WWE shouldn't quite close the door on an Undertaker vs. Sting bout in the future.
As I've touched on in the past, Wyatt should go over The Undertaker because it does more for him and Lesnar will still be known as the man to end The Streak, so a second loss won't cheapen it.
It is highly expected that Sting will then go over Triple H, as it's hard to see the WWE finally landing "The Vigilante" and jobbing him out in his first big appearance.
Sting's win over Triple H will be good for him, but in storylines it shouldn't be enough.
This could lead to Sting coming out either the next night on Monday Night RAW or around WrestleMania 32 next year to say he isn't done in the squared circle until he faces The Undertaker to find out who the true icon of wrestling is.
The WWE has advertised a big WrestleMania main event far in advance in the past between The Rock and John Cena and they could do it again with these two legends.
The story would then go that The Undertaker has lost at the last two WrestleManias and may not choose to accept. Sporadically over the months leading to WrestleMania 32, Sting could continue to try to coax the "Deadman" into a match until he finally accepts, setting the stage for their epic clash.
There were rumors for years that the WWE would bring Sting in to face 'Taker at WrestleMania and it almost happened last year until the WWE opted to hold off signing Sting after they didn't reach an agreement and went with Lesnar instead.
Lesnar then ended The Streak and injured The Undertaker, but if the "Deadman" was able to return for Wyatt, he can wrestle one final match next year.
WrestleMania 32 emanates live from AT&T Stadium in The Undertaker's home state of Texas, a place where Sting also currently resides, which could add intrigue to the match.
Both The Undertaker, 50, and Sting, 55, are getting up there in age, so the window for a bout between the two legends is closing and it should happen within the next year.
The WWE could use doubt about The Undertaker's in-ring future after two straight WrestleMania losses as added fuel to the fire leading into the rivalry while Sting's thirst to prove himself against 'Taker -- much like Shawn Michaels a few years back -- could drive him to push for the contest.
WrestleMania 31 will arrive in less than two weeks and The Undertaker will meet Wyatt while Sting will battle Triple H.
When the dust settles and the sun sets on the 31st edition of the "Show of Shows," it should rise again on these two legends at WrestleMania 32.
