It's the question on many people's minds in 2015, as the workout craze continues to see its profile rise. On one hand, you want to get in shape and be your best self. On the other hand, you find CrossFit daunting and are unsure it's the right fit.

Well fear not, because that's a conundrum thousands (if not millions) of other people are chewing over as well.

Here are three pros and three cons to taking up CrossFit. Ultimately, the decision rests with you individually.

The Good

1. Its focus on high intensity, high rep training is the fastest and most effective way to tone muscle and improve endurance.

2. It's the rare workout where you can actually eat good food rather than starving yourself. Sugars and flour are still no-nos, but when you're crossfitting stuff like fruits, vegetables, proteins, good carbs, oils and even the occasional burger isn't off limits.

3. Affordability/versatility is a huge plus as well. Don't live near a gym, or don't want to shell out as much as $100 a month to go to one? You can feel free to do a modified crossfit workout right from your humble abode.

Research Shows CrossFit Users Have More Sex Than Non-Users

The Bad

1. By far and away, the largest risk associated with crossfit is injury. CrossFit is a workout most people have never tried before. Whether its hubris or ignorance, many crossfitters come away with herniated disks, torn tendons, general soreness, and a host of other ailments from going too hard and not pacing themselves.

2. CrossFit is a great workout that can help you get in shape fast. The "Cult" of crossfit where everyone who practices it never stops talking about it and shames all those who aren't in the club? That part's awful. Don't do that.

3. CrossFit is a good workout and there's no denying it can get you in fantastic shape should you practice it in the proper way. However, at the end of the day it's just one method of working out that might not be for everyone. If not, that's totally ok. Running, playing competitive team sports, yoga -- the list of alternatives is endless. By all means find what fits for you!
