The Cleveland Cavaliers have won four straight, seven of their last ten, and 24 of their last 30. They're slowly gaining on the Atlanta Hawks as contenders to represent the East in June's Finals. However, they're doing it largely without the help of max contract forward Kevin Love.

The Cavs' acquisition of Kevin Love last off-season was the very thing that caused many NBA pundits to declare Cleveland the team to beat in the East.

However, Love has been mostly ineffective in recent games, sitting out entire quarters on end and shooting inefficiently from the arc when he is out there. The Cavs also seemed to be ostacizing Love on social media following a win against the San Antonio Spurs last week.

Love's play and morale seems to be so low, that head coach David Blatt actually sat Kevin Love for the entirety of Sunday's win over the Orlando Magic.

"Just felt like he needed a little bit of rest," Blatt told ESPN. "It's part of what we've been trying to do during the course of the year. Where and when we feel it's necessary over the long term to get guys a little bit of a break, we've done it and we will do it."

Despite Blatt's explanation, many still feel Love's exit from Sixth City after just one year is all but certain. Should Love bounce from the Cavaliers, the Boston Celtics are considered by many the prime candidates to snap him up.

Boston sports guy Bill Simmons has even been implying a Love-to-the-Celtics marriage for weeks on his Twitter account.
