More than a few raised their eyebrows when Laila Ali told TMZ Sports that she could take Ronda Rousey in a one-on-one bout.

Laila Ali Says She Can Beat Ronda Rousey

After all, Rousey is in the prime of her career and just coming off a 14-second win-by-armbar over Cat Zingano at last month's UFC 184. And Laila Ali is a 37-year-old retired boxer who's been away from the sport for a long time -- since 2007 to be exact.

Well, now word of Ali's trash talk (she takes after her dad, doesn't she?) has reached Rousey herself, and the UFC's undefeated bantamweight champ wants to let the boxer know that she, well, agrees to disagree.

Iron Mike Tyson: Rowdy Ronda Would 'Kick My Ass'

"If she wants to take me up on that, I’m around," Rousey said last week, via the Daily Beast.

"She’s retired and has several kids. I understand why she’d think that because she has a size advantage," she continued. "But if you saw my last fight it had nothing to do with size or strength at all. That’s not how I beat people. So you can’t count having a size and strength advantage as having a real advantage against me."

Rousey later appeared on Extra and reiterated her confidence in her abilties, telling host Mario Lopez that her background in judo and MMA would be too much for Ali to handle. Watch those remarks below:
