The Seattle Seahawks have not been making a lot of headlines since their defeat at the hands of the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl (other than that massive controversy about why Marshawn Lynch did not get the ball on the goal line).

Since that time, the Seahawks have used free agency to address roster issues and inked Lynch to a new deal. There is no word on how Lynch wanted to celebrate his new contract, but it seems unlikely that he wanted to end up in a fight.

But according to TMZ, that is exactly what happened recently. On Friday night, Lynch was out on the town for the evening and ended up in the middle of a brawl outside of a bar in San Francisco.

Apparently one of the many drunk people standing around outside the bar recognized Lynch and began taunting him about playing for the Seahawks by repeatedly calling him a "Seattle Sea Chicken."

One of the men that was with Lynch got tired of the chatter and lost his cool, which started the fracas. Lynch tried to pull his friend out of the fray, but an eyewitness says that the running back also found the time to land a few punches during the scrum.

Lynch has not commented on the brawl, and there is no word on whether anyone else involved in the fight was injured or arrested.
