The Minnesota Vikings and Adrian Peterson are garnering a lot of attention right now because of the tension over whether or not the star running back will remain with the team. Peterson has made it known that he has lost faith in the organization, and it is widely believed that he wants out.

Cowboys To Trade For Adrian Peterson?

Naturally, people have turned their attention to potential landing spots for Peterson if the team does release him. However, the Vikings may elect to try and trade the star back instead of losing him for nothing. Peterson has had a few meetings with the team, and according to ESPN, he is scheduled to have at least one more.

Not much has been resolved at the previous meetings, and it is unknown what the subject of Peterson's third meeting with the team will be. However, if reports of Peterson's desire to leave the team are accurate, then the embattled running back may be planning to ask the team for a trade or for his release.

Adrian Peterson House Shopping In Dallas?

Peterson has spoken previously about wanting to play for the Dallas Cowboys, and it is believed that he told team owner Jerry Jones as much during a phone call last summer.

Jones has a well-known affinity for star players, and in the wake of DeMarco Murray's departure for Philadelphia, Dallas also has a hole at tailback. If Dallas brought in Peterson to run behind what is arguably the league's most dominant offensive line, the results could end up being spectacular.

Of course, the question of value lingers over everything. Dallas may not want to give up too much in a trade just to have to pay Peterson's eight-figure salary. They may instead hope that Minnesota will release Peterson, allowing the Cowboys to sign him for a much lower price.
