Rory McIlroy is yet to find his golf game in 2015, failing to miss the cut at the Honda Classic and finishing tied for ninth at the WGC-Cadillac Championship, but that hasn't stopped him from finding a sponsor for the Irish Open.

The current world No. 1 announced Dubai Duty free as the title sponsor of the event hosted by the Hollywood golfer's foundation.

"It's great news that Dubai Duty Free has come on board as the title sponsor for this year's Irish Open," McIlroy said (via Belfast Telegraph). "Dubai Duty Free is a strong global brand with great experience in sports sponsorship through golf, tennis and horse racing. The European Tour and I both have strong links to Dubai, and I am sure Dubai Duty Free will bring a lot to the event and add to its already great prestige."

Hosting the tournament, McIlroy is attracting some of the game's biggest names for the event. Rickie Fowler, Ernie Els, Sergio Garcia and Lee Westwood have already confirmed to join him. Graeme McDowell, Padraig Harrington and Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke are also scheduled to appear.

Explaining his decision to sponsor the Irish Open, Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice Chairman Colm McLoughlin added: "Sports sponsorship plays a huge role in our overall marketing strategy. It fosters goodwill and allows our brand to travel all around the globe."

The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open will take place at the iconic Royal County Down Golf Club from May 28-31 and will feature McIlroy on behalf of his charitable foundation.
