In case you have not heard, Bruce Jenner is going to be undergoing some personal changes this summer. The former Olympic gold medalist recently announced that he plans to undergo a gender transition and go from being a man to being a woman.

While Jenner's family has been supportive of his decision, the reactions from the general public have been all over the spectrum. The one thing that has been undeniable is that Jenner's decision has generated a lot of buzz. Originally, Jenner planned to take advantage of that interest by becoming the subject of a documentary film series about his transition process, but that may no longer be the case.

According to People, Jenner was going to be the subject of a series for the E! Network, but he has now halted production of the show, and the future of the series is in question.

Bruce Jenner To Be On Dancing With The Stars After His Gender Transition?

Jenner is currently going through counseling sessions designed to help him get adjusted to the idea of being a female so that the surgical procedures do not overload his emotional capacity.

"Bruce's primary goal is to bring awareness to this issue in order to help others [in the transgender community]," said a source that has knowledge of the situation. "He is not sure that E! and a reality show is the best format to do that."

The source went on to add that Jenner "wants this to be taken seriously so that [his situation] can have the most positive impact on society's perception of the transgender community."

Jenner is not permanently shutting down the idea of a series about his transition; he is just checking out other production companies that may be able to help him raise awareness more effectively.

"He wants to explore other options," said the source. "But Bunim/Murray are making him feel trapped in his contract and are not allowing him to explore other avenues to tell his story."
