The Dallas Cowboys and DeMarco Murray never really appeared like they were going to end up together, as the team reportedly did not even contact Murray save for a brief phone call on Tuesday evening. Now, reports are that Murray could end up as a Philadelphia Eagle before the day is over.

Dez Bryant Interrupts Eagles' Recruitment Of DeMarco Murray With Trash Talk

Murray has repeatedly said that he would like to stay with Dallas, but the team did not appear to feel the same way despite the fact that Murray had the best season ever by a Cowboys running back in 2014. According to ESPN, Murray is on the way to meet with the Eagles today, and his intention is to sign with the team.

As he has mentioned previously, Murray still says that he would listen to and consider a last-minute offer from Dallas if they called and made one to him. However, since the team has shown little to no interest in bringing back their star ball carrier, Murray is apparently moving forward with his Plan B.

Murray personally reached out to Chip Kelly yesterday, telling the Philadelphia coach how much he would love to come play in the Eagles' up-tempo system and be reunited with Sam Bradford, who was his roommate for multiple seasons at the University of Oklahoma.

Bradford did indicate Wednesday that he had been trying to convince Murray to join him in Philadelphia.

"Absolutely. I've been trying my hardest," Bradford said Wednesday of trying to recruit Murray. "I've called him. I've texted him. I've done everything. We've been in communication. If we can somehow land him, it would be a great pickup. Not only is he a great player, he's a great person. He's a really close friend of mine, too. I think he can really help this ball club."

Murray may still be too expensive for Philadelphia, but he may be willing to cut them a slight break if he really feels it is the right place for him. The Eagles did agree to a deal with former San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews already, although many thought they may still have interest in Murray.
