Metta World Peace To Star In Reality Show With Terrell Owens

Metta World Peace does not plan to opt out of his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers but he may be planning to launch a TV reality show with Terrell Owens.

Through his own actions and the words of his agent, World Peace made both intentions known on Wednesday. He had until Tuesday to exercise the early-termination option on his contract, but agent Marc Cornstein revealed his client plans on staying put.

In the final year of his contract, the Lakers will pay him $7.7 million in salary next season. As for his plans with Owens, World Peace took to Twitter to reveal the two may soon be starring in a reality show.

As for the Lakers, they now have the option of deciding how much longer they want to keep the volatile forward around beyond next season. They could waive him by using a one-time amnesty provision.

World Peace, 33, is coming off a resurgent season despite the Lakers' struggles as a team. The 14-year veteran averaged 12.4 points (up from 7.7 in 2011-12) and 5.0 rebounds (up from 3.4) and improved his shooting percentages from the floor, 3-point line and foul line as well.

Later in the year, he underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, but was was back on the court in just 12 days before ultimately missing the Lakers' last game of a first-round playoff sweep to the San Antonio because of the same knee.
