Johnny Manziel had a pretty rough rookie season for the Cleveland Browns. The first-round draft pick lost the battle for the starting quarterback, and he did not get his shot until the end of the season. When he finally took the field, he looked unprepared and overwhelmed before finally getting injured.

Manziel also routinely made headlines for his partying ways, and eventually, he decided that he had a problem and elected to enter a rehab program. The young quarterback is still going through treatment, and the team undoubtedly hopes he will come out ready to focus completely on his NFL career. In the meantime, he is getting support from a legendary NFLer.

According to TMZ, none other than Jim Brown has thrown his support behind Manziel. Brown played for Cleveland for his entire career and is almost universally considered one of the best running backs ever to play the game of football.

He also thinks that Manziel is doing what he needs to in order to get himself right, saying, "I think [Manziel] made a great move to go into therapy ... I'm very happy for him."

The Browns recently made an announcement that Manziel is voluntarily staying in the treatment program longer than the 28-day minimum, which is what most people do.

Brown is a huge fan of the move. "I think it's an advantage," Brown said of Manziel's decision ... "I think it's very wise and I'm glad to see him do that ... so quote me please."
