The Miami Heat have made their main focus of the offseason to bring back backup shooting guard Ray Allen. Allen can opt out of his two-year deal this offseason and test the free agent market.

The 37-year-old sharpshooter helped Miami capture their second consecutive NBA title, most notably with a game tying 3-pointer in Game 6 to force overtime. The Heat then completed their rally, winning Games 6 and 7 and overcoming a 3-2 deficit.

"I put the bug in his ear in the shower after the game," Heat forward and co-captain Udonis Haslem said Monday, referring to speaking with Allen after Game 7 on Thursday. "I told him, 'I'm not going to put no pressure on you. I'm not going to ask you what you're going to do. But just know that I'm thinking about what you're going to do.'"

Haslem said that the future Hall of Famer didn't give a response to his statement. "I don't know if that's good or bad," Haslem said.

The Miami Heat held a team rally at American Airlines Arena Monday afternoon hours after their celebratory parade through downtown Miami. The event marked the first time every player on the roster was together since Game 7.

Miami is focused on keeping the majority of their roster next season, which could be difficult. They are currently set to pay about $80 million in contracts next season and could pay even more if Mario Chalmers $4 million team option is renewed.
