Today at 1:10 p.m. ET, the Miami Marlins and New York Mets go head-to-head in spring training action live from Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Miami sends David Phelps to the mound while New York counters with Zack Wheeler on the hill.

Phelps, 28, went 5-5 last season with the New York Yankees with a 4.38 ERA and 92 strikeouts. Miami acquired Phelps and Martin Prado from the Yankees in exchange for a package that included Nathan Eovaldi.

Wheeler, 24, is coming off of a 2014 campaign where he went 11-11 with a 3.54 ERA and 187 strikeouts in 32 starts for the Mets.

Daniel Murphy (hand) will return to New York's lineup for this game while former Mets outfielder Jordany Valdespin will bat leadoff and play right field for Miami this afternoon.

The Mets finished 2014 tied with the Atlanta Braves for second place in the National League East with a 79-83 record while the Marlins were in fourth place with a 77-85 mark.
