The Philadelphia Phillies (36-40) and the San Diego Padres (38-38) will open their series at Petco Park with a Monday night matchup set for 10:10 p.m. ET. The game will stream live on MLB.com with a paid subscription.

The Phillies have lost 10 of their last 15 games after going above .500 for the first time all season on June 6. A controversial decision in an 8-0 loss to the Mets was the latest of Philadelphia's woes.

The Mets rallied after a fifth inning Ben Revere error scored three-runs. The Mets would then score three more runs during their impressive fifth inning.

"We were 3-3 on the homestand, and it feels to me kind of like the way we play," manager Charlie Manuel told the team's website. "If you've watched us all year long, you've seen the inconsistent part of it."

Despite his team's troubles, Cliff Lee (9-2) has been phenomenal. During his current nine start winning streak, Lee has a 1.97 ERA and 64 strikeouts. In his last performance, Lee only allowed two solo home runs in a 4-2 victory over the Nationals on Tuesday.

The dominant starter has heard his name involved in trade talks leading up to the July 31 deadline. However, Lee says his main focus is on helping his current team win, and reiterated such following a 3-2 win over the Twins on June 13.

"I want to win. I signed here to win. I think that was misconstrued into thinking I want to play somewhere else, and that's not the case," he told the team's website.

The Padres will answer with Eric Stults (6-5). Stults has a 3.25 ERA and is coming off a 6.1 inning performance in which he allowed two earned runs in a no decision.
