Tonight at 10 p.m. ET, the Vancouver Canucks (36-24-4, 76 points) and San Jose Sharks (32-25-8, 72 points) face-off for the fifth and final time this season live from the SAP Center in San Jose.

Vancouver has dropped two straight games and closes out a two-match road trip while San Jose has won two consecutive contests and plays the middle tilt of a four-game home stand.

The Canucks are in the second place spot in the Pacific Division with the same amount of points as the third place Calgary Flames while they trail the division-leading Anaheim Ducks by 15 points.

The Sharks are on the outside looking in on the postseason picture, as they enter play four points behind the Winnipeg Jets for the final wild-card spot with the Los Angeles Kings two points ahead of them in ninth place.

These teams have split their four meetings this season, with the Vancouver winning the first two matchups and the San Jose getting revenge in the next two, including notching a 6-2 win last time out on Tuesday.

The Canucks are coming in off of a 3-2 shootout loss to the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday.

The Sedin twins have paced Vancouver's offense thus far this season as Henrik Sedin has 15 goals and leads the team with 44 assists and 59 points while Daniel Sedin has found the twine 14 times and added 42 helpers for 56 points.

Radim Vrbata leads the Canucks with 23 goals and is third on the club with 46 points.

The Sharks have had three days off since defeating the Canucks on Tuesday.

Joe Pavelski paces San Jose this season with 32 goals and 60 points. Logan Couture is second on the team with 55 points off of 22 markers and 33 helpers while Joe Thornton has a team-best 43 assists and is third on the club with 55 points.

In net, San Jose turns to Antti Niemi and he is 25-17-7 with a 2.61 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage.

Vancouver counters with Eddie Lack in between the pipes and he is 8-8-3 with a 2.55 GAA and a .916 save percentage. No. 1 goaltender Ryan Miller remains sidelined with a knee injury.
