Today at 1:10 p.m. ET, the Detroit Tigers and New York Mets clash in spring training action live from Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Matt Harvey returns for the mound for New York for the first time since Aug. 24, 2013, after missing the entire 2014 season due to undergoing Tommy John surgery in Oct. 2013.

Harvey, 25, went 9-5 through 26 games in 2013 with an impressive 2.27 ERA and 191 strikeouts.

This game can be live streamed here.

The Mets are expected to have Harvey throw 35 pitches over two innings and he is not expected to exceed 40 pitches. Top prospect Noah Syndergaard will also get some work this afternoon.

Despite it being his first trip to the hill in over a year, Harvey downplayed the importance of a start that lands on just the third exhibition game for New York this spring.

"I'm looking at it as getting ready for a season," Harvey said Thursday, according to ESPN. "I'm not really putting any extra pressure on that there isn't anyway. I'm looking at it as getting work done and preparing for a season like nothing has ever happened."

The Tigers will counter with David Price and he went 15-12 with a 3.26 ERA through 34 starts last season split between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Tigers and added a league-best 271 strikeouts. Price was 4-4 with a 3.59 ERA after being dealt to Detroit last season.

New York plans to field most of its every day lineup, minus Lucas Duda (left oblique) while Detroit has some regulars sprinkled into a lineup that has alternatives in it as well.
