The Dallas Cowboys have several key decisions to make in free agency, and now that they have decided to use the franchise tag on Dez Bryant, none may be bigger than whatever they decide to do with star running back DeMarco Murray.

DeMarco Murray Spotted On Cowboys' Team-Building Trip To Duke

Murray led the league in rushing last season, and he also had the best running back season in team history. He also had a historic workload, leading to debates over whether the team should try and re-sign him. While there are many signs that Murray is on his way out of Dallas, he also accompanied head coach Jason Garret and some other players on a team-building trip earlier this week.

Murray reportedly wants to stay in Dallas, and it is believed that he will choose a Cowboys offer over any other team's, as long as the contract terms are comparable. But according to USA Today, Murray is probably going to shop around a bit before committing anywhere.

Can Dez Bryant Relax About Alleged Video Tape?

There are several teams that would love to add Murray, including the Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts, both of whom made the playoffs last year. Murray will almost certainly visit with both of them during free agency, and he may choose to take meetings with other teams as well.

Once those meetings are held, the real fun will start. If Murray really does want to stay in Dallas, then he will likely take his other free agent offers to the Cowboys and give them a chance to match the offer. The proverbial ball will then be in Jerry Jones' court, as he will face the decision over whether to let Murray walk or bring him back at a price that may be higher than Dallas wants.

Regardless, it appears that Murray will get paid. The only question is whether he will be able to leverage his free agent status into a better deal with Dallas or if he will have to leave town.
