Houston Texans safety D.J. Swearinger is probably one of the more underrated players on Houston's defense, although one could argue that J.J. Watt gets so much attention (and deservedly so), that all of the other players are underrated.

Away from the field, however, Swearinger may want to work on his decision-making process. According to TMZ, the safety reportedly stole his own truck recently.

Apparently the 23-year old dropped his 2013 F250 truck off at Espi Motors in Houston to get a lot of custom work done on it. It was painted matte black with a Batman logo on it, and he also got new speakers, wheels, a new grill, and a custom horn, among other things.

Swearinger must not have realized how much the upgrades were going to cost - they totaled around $20,000 - because the people at Espi Motors said he reacted pretty badly when he got the bill, and he ended up driving off without paying for any of the work.

The shop tried to find Swearinger and get him to pay up, but they were unable to locate him, so they filed a police report. The police are currently investigating the situation, although there is no word yet on whether they are planning to arrest Swearinger or file any charges when they find him.

Neither Swearinger nor the Texans have commented on the incident.
