What happens when a four-time Super Bowl champion walks the fairways with a four-time Major champion? According to Todd Lewis, we're all about to find out.

Rory McIlroy Commits to BMW PGA Championship

The Golf channel anchor reported (via Twitter) that Rory McIlroy will play Augusta National with Tom Brady. Brady, fresh off a Super Bowl XLIX victory, will attempt to beat Peyton Manning's score of 77 from 2013.

Given Brady's track record of outperforming his four-time MVP counterpart, that shouldn't be too difficult a task.

Rory McIlroy Wants to be Golf's Next Superstar

For McIlroy, however, it'll serve as an opportunity to rebound from missing the cut at the Honda Classic, albeit a trivial one. The 25-year-old finished his 2015 PGA Tour debut with two rounds of 73 and 74 at PGA National, something he considers to be a disappointment.

"Sometimes, you need a little kick in the backside to make you realize what you need to do," said McIlroy (via BBC). "I was disappointed, but I feel it has given me clarity on what I needed. I could have approached it two ways: I could have got really down on myself and wondered where that had come from, or thought 'this was the first event after a three-week break and there were things that needed to be sharper.'"

"It was my mum's birthday on the Friday night, so we went out for a nice dinner and then got back to work on Saturday."

Despite McIlroy's poor debut, he remains No. 1 in the world rankings.
