If your New Year’s Resolution alone hasn’t been enough to make you hit the gym in 2015, this news certainly will.
A new study has revealed that singles who participate in CrossFit have more sex on average than singles who do not.
The analysis was completed as part of the dating website Match.com’s annual ‘Singles in America’ study, which seeks to explore “the ways in which adult singles of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and regions date and communicate in a tech-savvy world,” according to a release picked up by The New York Observer.
“Any kind of muscle-building exercises drive up the testosterone system in the brain,” said the site’s scientific advisor, Dr. Helen Fisher. “Testosterone is the hormone of sexual desire. It is the only true aphrodisiac.”
Fisher added that anyone who engages in CrossFit on a routine or semi-routine basis ““will probably come out of there having some sexual feelings.”
So get off the couch, put down the potato chips, and get out there, would-be loverboys and girls.
