The Dallas Cowboys are facing some tough situations with a couple of their best offensive players this offseason. The team has to decide whether to bring back running back DeMarco Murray, and although they have already franchised star receiver Dez Bryant, they are still working on a long-term extension for him.

Ndamukong Suh Headed To The Big Apple?

Even though there are no official team activities yet, some Cowboys players are still working on team-building, and the ones that went on the trip were intriguing. According to Busted Coverage, several members of the organization went to Duke University to meet with Coach K and the Blue Devils players during a team shootaround.

Head coach Jason Garrett, quarterback Tony Romo, tight end Jason Witten, and running back DeMarco Murray went on the trip. Dez Bryant seemed like a conspicuous absence from a group that included the team's most important skill position players on offense.

Washington Set Up To Fail By Sticking With RG3?

There is no word on whether Bryant was not invited on the trip or whether he simply chose not to or was unable to attend. He has made it known that he is unhappy being franchise tagged, preferring to have the security of a long contract. It could be an indicator that Bryant plans to skip many more team activities unless he gets the deal he seeks.

Equally interesting was the presence of Murray, who is about to be a free agent, having rejected Dallas's contract offer. He appeared to be smiling, laughing, and generally enjoying himself on the trip, so it certainly appears that there is no bad blood. It remains to be seen whether Murray's presence on the trip is an indication that he and Dallas are close to a deal that would keep him with the franchise.
