James, who secured his second straight NBA Finals MVP honor and his place in history with the Heat’s seven-game win over San Antonio, are basking in the glow of the franchise’s first ever back-to-back titles.

James was a one-man wrecking crew against the Spurs, particularly the series last two games when he averaged 35 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists in rallying the Heat back from the brink of elimination.
In the aftermath, James told ESPN he now plans to take some time off to reenergize himself and heal his body, but he plans to back in the gym before long in hopes of making the Heat the first franchise to three-peat since Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls heyday.
Even with back-to-back titles in hand, James remains far behind the six won by Jordan, but that indeed seems the standard he, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh have set for himself.
