Today at 1:05 p.m. ET, the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves clash in spring training action live from ESPN Wide World of Sports in Disney World.

New York didn't have too busy of an offseason other than the signing of new outfielder Michael Cuddyer. The Mets are coming off of a 2014 campaign where they finished 79-83 and tied for second place in the NL East.

It marked the sixth season the team finished with a losing record and eighth campaign without a playoff berth.

Atlanta had a huge offseason overhaul as it appears to be rebuilding and lost such stars as Jayson Heyward and Justin Upton.

The Braves finished tied with the Mets for second in the NL East with a 79-83 mark and had their first losing season in six campaigns. The team also missed the playoffs for the first time in three years.

The Mets will send Dillon Gee to the mound and he is coming off of a 2014 campaign where he finished 7-8 with a 4.00 ERA in 22 games. Gee could be the odd man out in New York's overcrowded rotation as he may fulfill a bullpen role this season.

The Braves counter with Wandy Rodriguez on the hill and he went 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA in six starts with the Pittsburgh Pirates last season.

One player to keep an eye on for the Mets is centerfielder Juan Lagares, who won a gold glove last season and is looking to cement his place in the leadoff spot for New York.

As for the Braves, they have a Met-killer of their own in first baseman Freddie Freeman and he led Atlanta last season with a .288 batting average while hitting 18 homers and adding 78 RBI.

Here are the starting lineups for both teams:
