On Monday SyFy announced its plans to move ahead with its third film in the Sharknado series, a trashy horror movie franchise that features killer sharks terrorizing major cities in tornados.

The previous two films have gained a major cult following on the internet for their deliberately bad acting and special effects, celebrity cameos, and ridiculous death sequences.

The third film of the series, known only as Sharknado 3 at the moment (although we're sure a absurdist subtitle will make its way onto the title marquee at some point in the future), is purported to take place in the nation's capital. Politico reported that the producers of the film are even courting real life current and ex-politicians in D.C. to play themselves in the movie.

And, when it comes to casting Sharknado's fictional president, who better to hire than a man who is already experienced navigating the Shark Tank?

That's right. According to that same Politico story, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has been cast to play the commander-in-chief of the film. Conservative author and mass media personality Ann Coulter will be playing his veep.

Cuban himself retweeted a photoshop from 120 Sports confirming the news.
