Bruce Jenner was a world-class athlete back in his day, winning the gold medal in the decathlon - arguably the most difficult Olympic event - at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal. Now, he has been making headlines for weeks on the heels of the announcement the he wants to become a woman.

The debate about Jenner's sex-change plans has been predictably outspoken, with celebrities and athletes weighing in with opinions all over the spectrum. Not all of the buzz has been bad, however, and it appears that the new Jenner will have a spot waiting to show off some skills if he chooses.

According to Hollywood Life, the popular reality show Dancing With The Stars is interested in having Jenner as a contestant after he completes his gender transition. Early reports indicate that the 65-year old Jenner is receptive to the idea of appearing on the show.

If Jenner does the show, it would be the second time that DWTS has featured a transgendered contestant. Chaz Bono made headlines when he appeared on the show back in 2011.

"DWTS had Chaz and it worked out amazingly well," a show insider said. "And once Bruce fully transitions, the producers have an open invite for him to join the cast in a future season of the show. They would love it! And they would welcome her with open arms."

Jenner may jump at the chance, as he reportedly already has plans to reveal the post-gender transition Jenner on the cover of Vogue.

"He thinks it would be the perfect platform for him to have his big reveal as a woman and what better place to do so than on Vogue's cover," said an insider.

"It's been a dream of Bruce's since he was a teen. He's always wanted to be one of those elegant, yet fierce supermodels who were adored on magazine covers," the source said. "He's always envisioned himself being on an exotic beach posing for the cameras and looking glamorous as Madonna's 'Vogue' songs plays."
