Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Chicago Blackhawks (37-20-5, 79 points) and Tampa Bay Lightning (37-19-6, 80 points) face-off for the second and final time this season live from the Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay.

Chicago has won two straight games and closes out a two-match road trip through Florida while Tampa Bay has notched victories in two out of its last three contests.

The Blackhawks are currently in the third and final automatic playoff spot in the Central Division, five points ahead of the fourth place Winnipeg Jets (74 points) and three points behind the second place St. Louis Blues (82).

The Lightning enter in second place in the Atlantic Division, one point above the third place Detroit Red Wings (79 points) and five points shy of the first place Montreal Canadiens (85).

The first time these two teams met, Chicago topped Tampa Bay 3-2 in a shootout on Nov. 11.

The Blackhawks are coming in off of a home-and-home sweep of the Florida Panthers and continue to adjust to life without top-scorer Patrick Kane (64 points), who is out for at least 12 weeks with a clavicle injury.

Jonathan Toews paces the healthy Chicago players with 50 points off of 19 goals and 31 assists this season while Marian Hossa has 17 tallies and 29 helpers to rank second on the Blackhawks with 46 points.

The Lightning are coming off of a 5-4 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday that snapped a two-game winning streak.

Tyler Johnson leads Tampa Bay with 59 points off of 23 goals and 36 assists while Steven Stamkos paces the Lightning with 32 markers and has added 23 helpers for 55 points.

In between the pipes, Tampa Bay turns to Ben Bishop and he is 30-10-3 thus far this season with a 2.41 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.

Coming off of a 3-0 win Thursday, Chicago is set to counter with backup Scott Darling in the crease and he is 6-2-0 with a 1.96 GAA and a .938 save percentage.
