Aaron Hernandez Arrest Update: Neighbors Tell Police They Heard Gun Shots, Warrant Issued

Neighbors have told Massachusetts State Police they heard gunshots coming from somewhere near the North Attleboro home of New England Patriots star tight end Aaron Hernandez early Monday morning, according to FoxBoston.com.

In addition, the website is reporting police have retrieved video evidence of Hernandez and two other men wearing hooded sweatshirts as they return to his home within minutes of hearing the gun blasts. Still more video captures Hernandez at Lloyd’s nearby Dorchester home about an hour earlier.

Investigators previously reported Hernandez, Lloyd and two other men spent part of the night together drinking at a bar in Boston before leaving together in a vehicle driven by Hernandez. Fox reports it remains unclear where the car traveled or what happened during the drive.

Early Friday, police formally issued an arrest warrant for Hernandez on obstruction of justice charges. Sources have also confirmed forensic evidence places a vehicle driven by Hernandez at one of the crime scenes in this case.

Police have also issued a "BOLO" or "be on the lookout" for a silver Chrysler 300 rental car with Rhode Island registration which may have a connection to the homicide.

Wednesday morning troopers returned to Hernandez's $1.3 million home, but no one answered. Hernandez returned home during the early afternoon Wednesday, wearing a Patriots sweatshirt and a red hat and carrying what looked like a sports drink. He did not speak to a crowd of reporters staked out about 100 feet away.
