Tiger Woods isn't ready for tournament golf, but there's nothing keeping the former world No. 1 from battling Rickie Fowler. Fowler, who moved to nearby Jupiter, Florida, jokingly said he wouldn't mind catching up with Woods at Medalist Golf Club for a money game.

"[Let me] see if I can get into his wallet or something, help him get ready," Fowler said with a laugh (via Golfweek). "Getting in his wallet, that's success right there. But unfortunately, the past couple times he's taken care of business with me."

Perhaps even more unfortunate for Fowler is the fact that the entire tour has "taken care of business" with him. In three starts this year, his best finish is a T-46 in Phoenix.

"It's a little unfortunate that there isn't an actual offseason now," he added. "There's not a whole lot you can do when guys [like Rory McIlroy] go out and distance themselves like that. It doesn't happen very often."

Despite his shortcomings in 2015, Fowler hopes to reverse his fortunes this week at the Honda Classic.

"Maybe I'll be able to be a buzzsaw," Fowler said. "The course is in great shape. Rough is thick, greens are good, so it's going to be a good test of golf. Hopefully, we stay away from some of the rain."

Fowler finished day one by shooting an even par 70 and is scheduled for a 4:20 p.m. ET tee time in day two.
