Julian Edelman made a lot of headlines for his celebratory antics following New England's Super Bowl victory over the Seattle Seahawks, and he at least put himself in the running as the foremost partier among Boston athletes.

Gronk Offers Fans The Chance To Party With Him

For the past few years, that title was Rob Gronkowski's, almost by default. However, one non-Patriot says that he partied harder than everyone after his team won the championship. According to BostInno, Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli claims to hold the record for post-title partying.

During a recent radio interview, Napoli was asked about Edelman living it up at bars, clubs, and with Harvard students. Nap said that while Edelman certainly partied hard, it was nothing compared to what Napoli got into following Boston's 2013 World Series title.

Big Papi Jokes About Pablo Sandoval's Weight, But Should Boston Worry?

"No," Napoli said. "He gave it a good run, but I don't think it was better than mine. I had a good, probably about a month straight, every night. I wasn't sleeping so I just stayed up and started all over again. ... "I got to see some of his stuff on Twitter and TV and it looked like he had a good time."

Napoli may have a point. In the days after the Red Sox won the title, Napoli was routinely spotted at bars, and numerous pictures appeared all over social media of him getting sloshed while throwing back shots and even losing his shirt.

Maybe Edelman still has some work to do.
