The major concern about the Kung-Fu Panda throughout his career has always been his weight. He is known for his rotund physique, and he is already hearing about it with the Red Sox.

And while Sandoval's weight has fluctuated over the years, he has still proven to be an effective hitter and a surprisingly nimble fielder at third base. And whenever there is something interesting happening with the Red Sox, you can bet that David Ortiz will chime in:

It is still the honeymoon phase for Sandoval and Boston, which makes it easy to chide him about his weight. However, the Red Sox do have legitimate playoff expectations this season, and if the team struggles - and Sandoval especially - then Panda's weight issues will likely become a hot-button issue, and the tone will not be nearly as jovial.
