Tonight at 7 p.m. ET, the Columbus Blue Jackets (25-27-3, 53 points) and Pittsburgh Penguins (32-16-9, 73 points) face-off for the second of four meetings this season live from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh.

Columbus has won two of its last three games and has gone 1-1 on their five-match road trip thus far while Pittsburgh has lost two straight contests and closes out a two-game home stand.

The Penguins enter play in third place in the Metropolitan Division with the same amount of points of the New York Rangers (second place) and four points behind the first place New York Islanders (77).

The Blue Jackets were decimated by injuries in the early going and are attempting to make a comeback and are 12 points behind the Boston Bruins for the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.

The first time these two teams met, Columbus defeated Pittsburgh 4-3 in a shootout in a rematch of Round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, which the Pens won in six games.

The Blue Jackets are coming in off of a 5-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday and will look for another win in the state of Pennsylvania.

All-Stars Nick Foligno (22 goals, 30 assists) and Ryan Johansen (21 tallies, 31 helpers) have paced Columbus offensively this season with 52 points apiece. Scott Hartnell is second on the team with 38 points by lighting the lamp 13 times and adding 25 assists.

The Penguins are are coming off of a 3-2 loss to the Washington Capitals in a chippy game on Tuesday.

Sidney Crosby leads Pittsburgh with 58 points and ranks tied for third in the NHL with 39 points. Evgeni Malkin is second on the Penguins with 53 points off of 21 markers and 32 helpers while Kris Letang has lit the lamp 10 times and added 35 assists for 45 points.

In between the pipes, Marc-Andre Fleury will go for Pittsburgh and he 26-12-6 and is fifth in the NHL with a 2.18 goals-against average and also has a .924 save percentage while leading the NHL with eight shutouts.

Columbus counters with Curtis McElhinney and he is 9-9-1 with a 2.80 GAA and a .916 save percentage.
