The Los Angeles Lakers may not make a lot of moves before Thursday's NBA trade deadline, but that won't stop head coach Byron Scott from tweaking his lineup and implementing his own changes.

Kobe Bryant Wants Career Rebirth, Doesn't Plan To Retire

Scott said that no matter what the Lakers opt to do at the deadline, a shakeup to the roster could be looming for Los Angeles, which has had nine different starting lineups and 12 different starters this season.

"There's 29 games left, probably with 25 games left or maybe a little bit less than that I'll probably make another lineup change just to give some other guys some time to just go out there and show what they can do as well," Scott said per ESPN Los Angeles. "I do expect at least one more lineup change."

While L.A. may not end up making any moves at the deadline this year, Phoenix Suns point guard Goran Dragic said he "doesn't trust" his team anymore and is hoping to be moved.

The Lakers and New York Knicks are at the top of his wish list while the Miami Heat are also a possible destination for him.

Scott said he hasn't put much though into the possibility of Dragic coming to Los Angeles.

"You think about it when you hear about it," Scott said. "I think about it real briefly then I forget about it to be honest with you because I can't control that."

Scott, who is behind the bench for his first season after taking over following Mike D'Antoni's resignation last summer, said he spoke with general manager Mitch Kupchak and isn't aware of any moves being imminent.

"The first time I talked to Mitch since the break started was this morning before our practice," the coach said. "We haven't talked about anything as far as trade rumors or anything like that. ... I'm sure he's getting phone calls and making phone calls but I don't talk to him unless he's ready to talk to me about certain things that are going on."

The Lakers are 13-40 this season and sit in last place in the Pacific Division and 14th in the Western Conference.

Los Angeles lost star Kobe Bryant for the rest of the campaign with his third straight season-ending injury, this time a torn right rotator cuff, but the "Black Mamba" is expected to return for his 20th NBA season in 2015-16, where he will make $25 million.

The Lakers are coming off of a franchise-worst 27-55 finish to the 2013-14 campaign, and they seem poised to set a new record for futility this season.

Because of this, Scott is set to make some changes regardless of how active -- or inactive -- L.A. is before the trade deadline.
